Glu (NSDQ: GLUU) Mobile released The Dark Knight, a mobile game based on the latest Batman installment set to hit U.S. theatres July 18. The company will also be offering a suite of related mobile content, including 31 wallpapers, 14 voicetones, four music tones and eight animated screensavers. The Dark Knight is the second title that Glu has developed and published through its partnership with Warner Bros, following Speed Racer earlier this year. In the game, a reign of chaos has swept over GOTHAM CITY, organized by a criminal mastermind known to terrified citizens only as THE JOKER. Gamers play as BATMAN using dynamic combat moves, special gadgets and stealth tactics to evoke fear in the hearts of his enemies. Players must use every weapon in BATMAN’s arsenal in order to confront his most devious enemy yet. Glu game aside, Warner’s The Dark Knight movie has also inspired a special edition of a Nokia clamshell. Released (in the US only) by Verizon and named “Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight”, the handset comes with a Batman emblem, a Joker playing card and other stuff especially made for Bat-fans.
