Virgin Mobile USA has now unveiled the handset’s launch date, price and features.A sleek, soft-edge dual slider, the new Ocean 2 boasts slimmer lines and a larger screen than its predecessor. The Ocean 2 measures a chubby 4.7 x 2.3 x 0.8 inches while the original Ocean measured just 4.3 x 2.2 x 0.9 inches. Virgin Mobile’s Helio Ocean 2 is a dual-sliding device with a QVGA display, a QWERTY keyboard, support for EV-DO and a 2 Megapixel camera.The software also has a review committee of a new social network, integrating the Google Talk instant messaging suite that includes email access Exchange, the change Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and background media playback.
Helio Ocean 2 has a fair price especially considering that you can get unlimited voice and data for $79.99 per month. Moreover, you’ll also get 512MB (Virgin Mobile originally told us 2GB) of storage with a microSD expansion slot, as well as a full 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to tunes or watching movies.
