Hop-on today announces that its GSM cell phone, the HOP1811, will be available in the United States for $13.99 with a Graffiti Wireless Airtime Plan. Ideal as a backup handset when traveling abroad or for anyone looking for a super-affordable mobile phone that does its thing extremely well, the pre-paid HOP1811 can be used calling and texting, only. It weighs 79 grams and its battery can sustain up to 4 hours of talk and up to 150 hours of standby time.
The dual-band (850/1900MHz or 900/1800MHz) HOP1811 costs $13.99 which is 40% increase in price, but unlike the original anti-iPhone, this device actually has a screen. HOP1811 supports dual-band 850/1900MHz, or 900/1800MHz with AMR for Europe and Asia, and with Li-lon 550 mAh battery it provides 5 hours of talk time, and 150 hours of standby. This low-cost handset can also carry a MP3 player with an excellent audio quality.
