According to the Telus Twitter page, the carrier has confirmed that a GSM/HSDPA Hero will be coming to the carrier. No specification surprises in the GSM variant: Telus’ Hero will have the same Qualcomm MSM7200A 528MHz processor, WiFi b/g, BlueTooth 2.0, and 5 megapixel camera as its CDMA cousin. There’s no telling if Telus’ Hero will come with Android 1.5 or Android 2.0 from the beginning. But HTC did confirm the fact that the Hero will receive the Android 2.0 update so Telus users should expect to see a similar treatment. The Hero is been on officially on the Telus site for about a week. Sadly, There has been no announcements regarding a release date or price.
