Back at Mobile World Congress 2010, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the launch of two new devices powered by Google’s Android 2.1 operating system, the HTC Legend and HTC Desire. Today we’ve got the ‘old close-up camera and filmed another HTC Legend video. SlashGear they’ve done an unboxing and quick demo of the phone, taking it out of it’s beta box and putting the Legend into action.
The video below shows the browser, the camera, widgets, FriendStream and some of the new improvements in the Sense UI. They also provide a quick run through the 2.1 OS including HTC’s FriendStream and Helicopter View. With the HTC Legend and the HTC Desire both moving away from traditional trackballs and opting for the track pad.
the HTC Legend comes with a Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz processor inside, a chip faster than Hero’s 528MHz one. The AMOLED touchscreen display is said to be bright and color-saturated, while the onscreen QWERTY keyboard seems pretty responsive. Those willing to purchase the HTC Legend when it becomes available will find in the box the device itself, the battery, an A/C adapter, microUSB cable, and a wired hands-free headset.
