HTC has announced their plan to bring a 4G LTE experience to Germany with their new Velocity handset. The HTC Velocity for Vodafone may look familiar to those of us in the US market since it’s essentially the HTC Vivid with a different name. Coming in white case, the Vodafone HTC Velocity 4G smartphone sports a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage. Further, the device has a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen Super LCD display with qHD 960 x 540 resolution, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, an 8 megapixel autofocus camera on back with 1080p Full HD video recording, and microSD card support (up to 32GB).

Other feature is LTE support, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and TV-out and 1620 mAh battery. The phone will be running on Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.5. Since the HTC Vivid is already expecting its Android 4.0 update within the next month or two, it is believed that the Velocity will be getting an Ice Cream Sandwich of its own shortly after launch. Sadly, there are no info for its release data and pricing.
