I-mate 810-F is a new rugged smartphone will be released at MWC 2009 as one of I-mate’s first hardened devices. The new i-mate phone is water and shock proof and can withstand humidity, pressure and temperatures as cold as -10 degrees Celsius or as hot as 60. It’s a ruggedized QWERTY-equipped smartphone that runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. The usual suspects are there: touchscreen display, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GSM, and WiFi is also included, as a built-in GPS receiver with a digital compass for easy navigation. The smartphone  comes with the Secure i-Q software that allows the user to completely lock the device and wipe personal data if it gets stolen. That will be done remotely via PC.
The price and release date of i-mate 810-F are not known for the moment.
