Indosat to deploy Nokia Siemens Networks’ mobile softswitch solution. PT Indosat Tbk is a fully integrated Indonesian telecommunications network and service provider, and provides a complement of national and international telecommunications services in Indonesia. Monday (4 August) the Indonesian communications services provider Indosat has taken a first step towards an all-IP environment. Indosat will deploy Nokia Siemens Networks’ mobile soft switch solution that will also expand network coverage and capacity, and ensure optimal network quality. Furthermore, Nokia Siemens guarantees for the new network’s stability and efficiency, by offering services such as network design, equipment renewal, product maintenance and so on. Indosat will continue to monitor, control, analyse and manage their services and network with the Nokia Siemens Networks multi-technology service and network management solutions. No financial details were provided - indeed the announcement from the two companies contained virtually no usable information at all.
