Two new entry-level candybars mobile phones for 2009 from LG have been added in the market, dubbed the LG GB106 and LG GB110. Both aren’t that very impressive spec wise as they are low end mobile phone that will target emerging markets along with first time mobile phone users. GB106, the cheaper of the two, sports an FM Radio, color screen and a five-way D-pad. Its FM radio feature works even without an attached headset because the FM antenna is built-in. Sound may also come out through the external speakers.. It sports a 1.5 inch 65k color screen, has 1.5MB of memory and is capable of 400 hours of standby time and four hours of talk time on a single charge.
LG GB110, the second newly-unveiled, entry-level mobile phone, also comes with a 1.5-inch CSTN LCD, stereo FM radio, which can be used without the need of a headset, and with hands-free mode. Unlike LG GB106, this handset sports a built-in VGA camera and a microSD card slot that supports up to 2GB of memory, and also allows for ringtones and pictures to be downloaded for customization.These phones should be available later this month at an undefined price, or free on a contract.
