LG has just announced the availability of its GD510 Pop in the UK via Carphone Warehouse. The 3-inch touchscreen cellphone is, according to LG, the smallest of its type with a display of that size.
The 3-inch touchscreen GD510 costs £99.95, which is pretty impressive for a device with such a spec, and seems to directly compete with Samsung’s lower-priced Genio Touch.
The phone feature such a large 3-inch touchscreen display, the new LG GD510 POP won’t pack 3G or Wi-Fi inside the stylish brushed-aluminum case. The GD510 Pop offers a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, an accelerometer sensor, a music/video player, an FM radio, a Web browser, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. The whole thing measures just 97.8 x 49.5 x 11.2 mm and there’s an optional solar panel back-plate which gives you 2.15 minutes of talktime for every 10 minutes of sunlight.
