The LG GW880 smartphone is due for release on China Mobile very soon, and is packing the OPhone OS. China Mobile’s OPhone OS offers the company’s mobile software store called Mobile Market which is based on Android OS, featuring iPhone-like interface. “Android” this case means China Mobile’s custom WiFi-less OPhone platform, which means we’ll probably never see this guy outside of the Middle Kingdom. The LG GW880 supports China’s 3G connection (TD-SCDMA)/EDGE. The smartphone is a high-end one, as it comes with a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, 5MP camera with flash, Mobile TV, 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM.
