It has been rumored that LG’s Prada II touchscreen phone is likely headed to the US. The Boy Genius Report has revealed specs for LG’s forthcoming Prada II handset, its follow-up to the designer device announced back in January 2007. The new Prada will keep the 3 inch TFT display of the old one, as well as the 240 x 400 pixel resolution and the Flash UI. The novelties are represented by: HSDPA connectivity, motion sensor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a full QWERTY keyboard – quite an unusual feature, considering that we’re talking about a phone made for fashion-loving mobile users and not for businesspersons. LG Prada II will also come equipped with a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording (in VGA mode) – a great improvement from the 2 MP camera of the first Prada, which doesn’t even have auto focus. It’s certainly a powerful handset, but it’ll have some stiff competition (even from within the LG camp) by the time it hits the shelves. There’s no word on a release just yet, but watch this space, etc, etc
