A new LG phone has been released and it’s by Alltel Wireless. The new phone is called LG Tritan AX840 and it obviously has a touchscreen, plus a full QWERTY keyboard hidden underneath it. LG Tritan AX840 borrows a bit from the form factor the T-Mobile G1 / HTC Dream is famous for. The handset is powerful enough to support moderate 3D gaming as well as web browsing and e-mail, including Outlook sync. Storage is limited, however, to at most regular 2GB microSD cards.
Spec highlights include a 3-inch QVGA touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, music player, G sensor, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera. LG Tritan AX840 has 3G over EVDO Revision and true GPS for use with Alltel’s Navigator app.

You can purchase the Tritan from Alltel Stores or online and the price after the $100 mail-in rebate is $79.99 on contract.
