Mobile game follows the plot of the action thriller

The movie Eagle Eye has inspired a cell phone game. Mobile game developer and publisher Magmic Games, Inc., and Paramount Digital Entertainment, announced the mobile game launch of Eagle Eye, based on DreamWorks’. Eagle Eye is a 2008 action/thriller film directed by D.J. Caruso and starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan. The two portray a young man and a single mother, respectively, both of whom are framed as people they aren’t and are coerced into carrying out the terrorist cell’s plot. The portable version is available for cell phones, BlackBerries and Windows Mobile devices, and costs $6.99.

Talking about the mobile release of Eagle Eye, Nicholas Reichenbach, Executive Vice President of Publishing for Magmic Games, declared, “It is unique for a mobile device to play a critical role in the movie’s storyline, and we are delighted to work with Paramount Digital Entertainment to extend the Eagle Eye experience into the hands of the movie’s fans worldwide“. In this fast-paced, combination puzzle/action game, players take on the role of the movie’s main characters as they attempt to diffuse a terrifying plot. Each character in the game has a unique skill set, which requires players to switch between the characters throughout the game in order to solve various puzzles to defeat the enemy. The Eagle Eye mobile game is available today on most major U.S., European and Canadian carriers, and is available specifically for BlackBerry devices at www.bplay.com and for Windows Mobile devices at www.winplay.com.
