Motorola Cliq: Motorola’s first Android smartphone with Moto Blur

On Thursday morning, Motorola officially introduced its first Google Android device: the Motorola Cliq. The Cliq measures 4.49 inches tall by 2.28 inches wide by 0.62 inch thick and weighs 5.6 ounces. The Motorola Cliq—which is exclusive to T-Mobile—has the usual Android features, but it adds its own software and services, grouping it all under its own user interface. The whole thingamajig is called Motoblur.
The Motorola Cliq has a slide down keyboard, 3G/HSDPA and WiFi, 5.0 megapixel auto focus camera, full HTML browser, and more. The Moto Blur interface syncs all your pictures, e-mails, Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace messages and displays them all in one screen. Moto Blur also continuously updates and backs up your data.
The Motorola Cliq runs Android 1.5 (Cupcake)  and also features multitasking capabilities and one-touch access to the Google™ mobile services  including Google Maps with Street View, Google Voice Search, Picasa, and GTalk. The QuickOffice Suite is also onboard for document viewing.  The smartphone also comes preloaded with the Amazon MP3 Store, a dedicated YouTube app, Shazam, Last.fm, and Imeem. Surprisingly, however, it doesn’t seem to have Wi-Fi connectivity. On the wireless department, apart from the 3G, it only has 2.0+EDR stereo Bluetooth.
