Sprint began shipping the Motorola Debut i856, first slider phone that supports its Nextel Direct Connect push-to-talk service. Motorola Debut’s compact slider form factor delivers not only instant communication between two people or a group of people, but also comes with the ability to switch from an active push-to-talk call to a voice call with the push of a button. The handset also features a 2.2 inch display which displays a resolution of 176×220 sports an MP3 player, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth technology. Sprint’s Motorola Debut i856 is available for $99.99 after a two-year customer agreement and mail-in rebate.
