Motorolla has just announced the availability of Motorola SPICE XT in Mexico. The Android-based smartphone is now available for free at Telcel stores on Mas por Menos 3 plan with an 18-month contract. Motorola FIRE XT was unveiled back in August and debuted on the market a month later. Motorola SPICE XT gives users a more engaging experience with its 3.5-inch, extra-bright touch-screen display, dual cameras for vivid video capture, and all the social networking you could want. Unlike its sibling, the XT316, the XT531 doesn’t have a hardware QWERTY keyboard. The phone also comes with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, Qik Video Connect app, 800MHz processor, 512MB of on-board memory, and MicroSD card support.

The new smartphone measures 114 x 62 x 11.95 mm, and has a 1540 mAh battery that’s capable of providing up to 8 hours of talk time, or up to 28 days of stand-by time. For customers who want to avoid being tied by a long term contract can purchased the Motorola SPICE XT on pre-paid for $3,199 pesos (250 USD or 190 EUR).
