Navigon will launch four new PND’s for the European directionally-challenged in September. Navigon 1200 and Navigon 1210 are the new entry level GPS navigation systems from the Navigon. The two new models cover all the basics for navigation but adds a couple of higher end features such as the Lane Assistant Pro and Speed Assistant and Radar Info. They both run on a 375MHz processor, have 64MB RAM, a 3.5-inch touch screen, microSD expansion, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant, and Radar Info – the last 3 items being the high-end features.  ”Modern design, ease of use, extensive functionality requiring minimal space, all at an excellent price – that’s what makes our new 12 series highly attractive, especially to first-time sat nav users and price-conscious buyers,” says Jörn Watzke, Vice President Product Line Management at NAVIGON.Â
The latest Lane Assistant Pro offers a better overview and shows the ideal lane on its brilliant 3.5-inch display before you turn off at multi-lane junctions. “Reality View Light” displays motorway exits realistically. In addition to two million pre-entered special destinations, users can now even save their own favourites to the map under a name of their choice and indicated by a special icon. Emergency Help gives access to all relevant information on the nearest hospital, the closest police station, on garages and pharmacies in the area at a single click. In addition to their locations, NAVIGON provides contact data such as addresses and telephone numbers. The 2200 and 2210 are also compatible with Navigon’s FreshMaps service which allows you to keep your PND up-to-date with all the latest map changes. The Navigon 2200, priced at 149 €, includes maps of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland while the Navigon 2210, priced at 179 €,
