New Samsung Genio slide launches on Vodafone

The Samsung Genio Slide has arrived in the UK and it will be available exclusively from Vodafone. The Genio Touch, the Slide is aimed at the ‘youth market’, and like the CorbyPro, the phone comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard beneath a 2.8-inch touch-screen.
It also features  a 3-megapixel digital camera, Wi-Fi, HSDPA 3G, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack, an FM radio and a microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB cards.
The Slide is preloaded with BBC iPlayer, and hot links to other young people favourites like Twitter, Facebook and the web . While the web browser features a one-touch zoom feature (holding and dragging a finger up or down the screen) to make reading web pages easier.
Samsung says “The QWERTY keyboard slides neatly underneath the handset, so the phone can be used as a full touch screen device, and when users want the keyboard they can simply slide it out and turn the phone horizontally.”
The handset is available now, free on a 2-year, £15 a month plan as well as a £25 per month, 18-month plan.
