Nokia unveiled the Nokia 6700 classic, the Nokia 6303 classic and the Nokia 2700 classic, three devices that build on the formula that made Nokia the world leader in mobile phones.
First in line comes Nokia 6700, delivering smooth surfaces, rich materials and precisely-crafted parts, as well as a full metal keymat. The handset includes a 5-megapixel camera, along with GPS navigation with Nokia Maps and high-speed data access capabilities. The phone is expected to come to the market at a price tag of EUR 235, before taxes and subsidies.
Nokia 6303 classic is also a candybar that will ship at about the same time with the 6700, but for a lower price: €135 ($178). The 6303 offers a 2.2 inch display, a 3.2 MP camera, pre-loaded Nokia Maps, a 3.5mm headset jack and “excellent battery performanceâ€.
One final entry sets the floor for Nokia’s middle line: the 2700 classic drops EDGE but still has a 2-megapixel camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD storage to serve as a budget MP3 player in addition to calls. The changes bring the price down to just 65 Euros ($85) for the 2700’s spring introduction. It supports quad-band GSM and so should work in the US.
