The Nokia Lumia 710 landed at T-Mobile today. T-Mobile is offering it up for a mere $49 on a new two year contract and available in black and white. The Lumia 710 is a compact, entry level Windows Phone that sports a 3.7″ screen that is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The latest Windows Phone feels solidly built and comfortable in the hand. According to the CEO of Nokia, the Lumia 710 is targeted for those consumers that didn’t make the jump to a smartphone, by delivering a great build quality with a fresh, fun and revolutionary platform. Like all Windows Phones, its interface uses Microsoft’s Metro interface and Live Tiles, which display real-time updates from social networks, e-mail, messaging, and other services, directly to the home screen.

The Nokia Lumia 710 features a 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor complemented by 512MB of RAM, a 3.7″ WVGA display, HSPA+ connectivity, Windows Phone Mango, a 5-megapixel camera, and 8 GB of inbuilt memory. The specifications list of the new device also includes WLAN 802.11 b/g/n capabilities, along with Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, and built-in GPS receiver. The smartphone is powered by a 1300 mAh battery.
