The Nokia N91 has been one of the most highly anticipated music phones. It was one of the phones touted to be an iPod killer, as it has a 4GB hard drive similar to the now defunct iPod Mini. The Nokia N91 runs on Symbian OS v9.1 and, like the previously reviewed N71, it also features the much improved 3rd edition of the S60 user interface.

MobileBurn has been tested Nokia N91 and said “Although its ease of use and the need to convert files into WMA before synchronization might still be lacking behind the iPod in terms of user friendliness, it has everything that a phone should have. With a 4GB hard drive and a well implemented music player, the N91 becomes a very powerful music jukebox. With all that said, the Nokia N91 earns a highly recommended rating….”
GSMarena has been tested Nokia N91 and said “Without a question, Wi-Fi support, the music player and a large jack for the earphones are all the conveniences we all like to see in other phones. To my opinion, however, the mechanical hard disk with a 4 GB capacity encumbers the device more than it helps. The situation would have been completely different if you could fit a few dozens of GB into the phone…”
LaptopMag has been reviewed Nokia N91 and said “Overall, the Nokia N91 is a decent music phone that is showing its age after such a long delay coming to market. While the music and imaging features are quite good, the abysmal boot time, weak multitasking abilities, weight, and astronomical price keep it from achieving superstar status.”
