Meanwhile, the folks of Russian site Mobile-review have published a review of the mysterious Nokia N97 Mini handset, ahead of its official announcement. It’s practically the same flagship device, but a bit smaller, missing lens cover, altered keyboard layout, and 100 Euros cheaper.
Mobile-review’s Eldar Murtazin claims that the Mini is built better than the original N97, with a metal battery door giving it a nice and dense feel. Also, its QWERTY keyboard is smaller and less impressive, while the internal memory has gone down to 8GB from the 32GB of the bigger device. The N97 has a lens cover, the Mini does not. The Mini has kinetic scrolling, and the N97 will get this too some time in mid September with a software upgrade The Nokia N97 Mini targets those who got put off by the original N97’s chunky casing. It could be offered with unlimited navigation license.
