Nokia announced today the new Wireless Loopset which is compatible with T-coil equipped hearing aids or cochlear implants on 02 July 2008. The Wireless Loopset is designed to help hearing aid users enjoy better audio quality and handsfree operations of their mobile and/or audio devices. Nokia has satisfied all need about mobile phones even for people who are hard of hearing then.

The design and development of all Nokia loopsets has been inspired and developed by Nokia employees who have problem of hearing. Later, Nokia introduced the first loopset, the Nokia LPS-1, more than a decade ago. Prior to this, people with hearing aids had faced difficulties in using digital mobile phones in noisy environments or due to interference picked up from the radio transmission of the phone. The Nokia LPS-1 loopset was the first product of its kind in the world, enabling people with T-coil equipped hearing aids to use a digital mobile handset.

The Wireless Loopset is best suited for people who use cochlear implants or T-coil equipped hearing aids. The accessory is compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone and allows users to make calls wirelessly, via their hearing aid. Nokia Wireless Loopset features a call-button, a comfortable neckloop, vibrating alert, optimized volume range, frequency response and easily-adjustable sidetone level, for the best possible clarity and voice control. The Loopset is expected to start shipping worldwide in the first quarter 2009, with an estimated price of less than 200 Euros, before applicable taxes or subsidies.

I know this is going to sound a bit old fashioned but, I really like taking care hearing and whilst I do agree with the previous poster and I really hope I do not get shot down for saying this, but I believe it is important to take all things in moderation.
