Opera has just released a beta version of their acclaimed mobile web browser Opera Mini 5. It brings a number of improvements compared to the previous major version, Opera Mini 4.2. The new features that Opera Mini 5 beta comes with include tab browsing (allowing you to browse several websites at the same time).
The Speed Dial, offering quick access to your favorite pages directly from the browser’s start page. Similar to the desktop Google Chrome and Opera 10, the Opera Mini 5 will offer you 9 page thumbs on its home screen, which can either be selected manually or left to be filled up automatically with the most frequently visited web sites. Other important new features include password management, and better optimization for touchscreen phones, meaning that at the bottom of the screen you now have larger icons for important commands: back, forward, refresh, tab management and settings.

Opera Mini 5 beta is available from the Opera Mini website and can be downloaded for free from your phone’s existing web browser.
