Samsung today announced the availability of the Samsung MyShot SCH-r430 and Samsung Spex SCH-r210. Both phones are the first MetroPCS phones that can operate on the 1.7/2.1GHz CDMA Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum. The AWS spectrum band allows current and future service providers the opportunity to provide wireless broadband services to millions of users, resulting in increased productivity, efficiency, mobility and security through larger bandwidth allocation.

Curve is the smartphone first capable of 3G by using the carrier’s EVDO network and adds all the improvements of the 8310 used on GSM phone networks, highlighted by the native GPS receiver: the device can either use Verizon’s own VZ Navigator for driving directions or an alternate solution for mapping. Research in Motion’s updated BlackBerry also brings a 2-megapixel camera, a native 3.5mm headphone jack, and an externally accessible microSDHC card slot for up to 8GB of storage.
In Verizon trim, the 8330 will be available solely in silver and uses a slightly customized version of RIM’s standard BlackBerry interface while supporting all the typical third-party software, including a native Facebook app.

Levi’s fashion phone has undergone a make-over whilst being positioned under the company’s associated Red Tab fashion imprint.
Much like the expensive pair of jeans, the new Red Tab phone adds a dash of appropriate colour plus an MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, a hands-free kit and a 2MP camera. Oh, it also arrives in a fancy box. Limited to just 100 and available right now, the phone retails at £400.

Verizon Wireless has announced to Verizon Wireless customers, that MySpace Mobile now can accessed on all Mobile Web 2.0 enabled phones.
With MySpace on Mobile Web 2.0, Verizon Wireless customers now have the ability to edit MySpace profiles, view and add friends, post comments and blogs, send and receive MySpace messages – all from their mobile phones. To access MySpace Mobile, Verizon Wireless customers simply open Mobile Web 2.0 on their phones, click on the Connect category from the home screen, and click on MySpace.
