Today AT&T announced that the Samsung Mythic and Flig. The Samsung Mythic is a full touch screen device with AT&T Mobile TVSM capability, and the Samsung Flight is a touch screen phone that slides open vertically to reveal a full keyboard
The black Mythic looks sort of similar to the existing Solstice. It sports a 3.3-inch touch screen, along with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface for dragging and dropping semi-useful widgets all over the home screen. The Mythic also features quick Facebook and MySpace access, along with support for AT&T Mobile TV and AT&T Navigator.
Samsung Flight comes to AT&T’s lineup as a next-generation messaging device, and will become available in red and silver. It also delivers one-touch access to various features, comes with social-networking capabilities, a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper, a full HTML Web browser, support for AT&T Navigator, AT&T Mobile Music with Napster Mobile and eMusic Mobile and AT&T Video Share, and stereo Bluetooth technology, all inside a device that measures 4.17 x 2.2 x 0.5 inches and weighs 4.8 oz. It costs $100 after rebate with new agreement.

Nokia announced a couple of new cellphones including the Nokia 2220 and the Nokia 2690.
The Nokia 2220 cell phone can be available later this year as a very basic cell phone. The device costs $66 per unit. It is easy to guess from the name, it is a slider phone. This Nokia 2220 slide phone supports GPRS, MMS, Bluetooth interface and Ovi Mail service. In addition, it has a VGA camera and phonebook for 1000 contacts. Nokia 2220 slide will go on sale later this year.

Nokia 2690
The S40-running Nokia 2690 comes with VGA camera, built-in stereo FM radio with RDS and a 3.5mm standard audio jack. Local connectivity options include Bluetooth and microUSB. Its estimated retail price is 54 euro before taxes or subsidies.
The quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support make Nokia 2690 capable of global roaming and the built-in microSD card slot allows expanding the internal memory to 8GB. The handset comes with a 1.8″ 262K-colors TFT LCD display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. Nokia 2690 will be available in Graphite, White silver, Hot pink and Blue color version starting from Q1 of 2010.

LG has just announced the availability of its GD510 Pop in the UK via Carphone Warehouse. The 3-inch touchscreen cellphone is, according to LG, the smallest of its type with a display of that size.
The 3-inch touchscreen GD510 costs £99.95, which is pretty impressive for a device with such a spec, and seems to directly compete with Samsung’s lower-priced Genio Touch.
The phone feature such a large 3-inch touchscreen display, the new LG GD510 POP won’t pack 3G or Wi-Fi inside the stylish brushed-aluminum case.The GD510 Pop offers a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, an accelerometer sensor, a music/video player, an FM radio, a Web browser, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. The whole thing measures just 97.8 x 49.5 x 11.2 mm and there’s an optional solar panel back-plate which gives you 2.15 minutes of talktime for every 10 minutes of sunlight.

Sprint has just promised to introduce the BlackBerry Curve 8530. The latest Curve model is an updated version of one of RIM’s most popular consumer-oriented smartphones. It sports the new BlackBerry OS 5.0 and a new design. This smartphone has a QVGA display above a QWERTY keyboard. Between these two is an optical trackpad in place of a trackball or D-pad.
According to the press release, “Sprint’s BlackBerry Curve 8530 will offer BlackBerry App World for instant access to thousands of applications. Sprint has employed an open Internet approach, and the Sprint Application Developer Program has been providing tools for third-party developers, since Sprint first launched the Wireless Web on its phones in 2001.” BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone makes it even easier to enjoy music on-the-go with dedicated keys to skip to the next song on a playlist, pause or play. It comes preloaded with several multimedia applications including BlackBerry Media Sync, Sprint Music Store™, Sprint TV™ and Pandora™. It also boasts dedicated applications for a smoothly integrated social networking experience with Facebook®, MySpace™ and Flickr™. BlackBerry Curve 8530 will be available in three color options – Black, Royal Purple and Red.
No pricing and release date have been announced just yet it is predicted around the $99 that Verizon is charging with a 2-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate.
