As reported by Symbian Freak, informed that beta edition of its latest Maps version is getting close to graduate and has been updated today. Unfortunately there is no word about changes but apparently lots of bugs have been fixed and some new features have been added.

Nokia Maps 2.0 Beta comes with compatible Nokia Map Loader, also available for download from this site. With Nokia Map Loader you can get the newest map data, which is required by some Nokia Maps 2.0 features such as Walk navigation.
Maps 2.0 is still in Beta and therefore not supported by Nokia customer care. [Read More…]

Released only in Taiwan, the new LG KM501 it resembles the KE500 model. The device have measures 101.5 x 48 x 15 millimeters, so it can be considered a medium-sized phone.

LG KM501 are obviously dedicated for Music Phone, which allows users to enjoy up to 29 hours of continuous music playback time. Also have special music keys, advanced music player with easy controls, equalizer and “background mode” (which is actually a multi-tasking feature), FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. Apparently Google’s been making a Verizon so fuss lately with it claims that Verizon’s plans to subvert the intent of the 700MHz open-access rules, butVerizon looks isn’t interested in fighting.

Verizon issued a statement today saying that it “understood the FCC’s rules,” and that “of course we’ll abide by those rules”.
In a petition filed with the FCC by Google, the company alleges that Verizon is willfully ignoring the “plain meaning of the [open access] rule” by suggesting it will allow one type of access for users who use Verizon-approved devices, and another for those using third-party units. [Read More…]
