Nokia Extra Power DC-8

April 18th 2008 |

Nokia Pocket Power DC-8 is not promised fuel cell power pack, but it is still a little more than a fancy title for a classic portable spare battery. This one is diffrent because it uses standard 1.5 Volt “AA” batteries (manganese, alkaline or Ni-Cd) and it basically means that you can charge it with a compatible Nokia 2 mm charger or simply get some more power from the classic AA batteries purchased on the go.

April 18th 2008 |

As if the FCC and FAA’s indefinite ban on the use of mobile phones while airborne wasn’t enough, a couple well-meaning but likely clueless Congressman have proposed a bill that would effectively ban cellphones from being used on an airborne plane. Apparently, the fear of having to sit next to loud and obnoxious passenger yapping into their mobile phone has prompted Congress to action.

Sprint is confident that they’ll be able to settle the suit without further legal action.

And, ironically, Sprint has lobbied the FCC to make sure that AT&T stays true to its word that it would abide by interconnection conditions that were required before AT&T’s merger with BellSouth was approved in 2006.
