Information Week reports that pictures of Microsoft’s secret Pink phone seems to be circulating. Codenamed Pure and Turtle, the handsets have appeared in two new leaked images. They might be released by Verizon on April 20, targeted at young mobile users. Both Turtle and Pure emphasize social networking tools and other Web 2.0 features that also dominate the Windows Phone 7 interface
There is some logic to the Pink project because it moves Danger devices to Microsoft’s Windows CE operating system, which is the basis for Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7, Windows Automotive, and a wide range of devices. The phone is expected to have a feature called The Loop that would act as a central social networking hub.
