Both Sprint and Palm have maintained the launch date of the most anticipated handset. Retailers are expected to receive shipments of the Pre in late April or early May and based on the initial batch of units, the Pre could launch on May 17. The launch would then be postponed to June 29th if the initial shipments are deemed too low to begin initial sales in May. Extensive training for customer service personnel as well as vacation freezes are taking place. The latter is for the month of May.
