RCom is set to launch a subsidiary of Jump Games in US in a bid to cater to the mobile subscribers in the country and offer them its gaming and other content services. The firm will be head quartered in Chicago and aims to grow using both the organic and inorganic mode. Jump Games feels that the launch of Jump Games USA and the opening of its new office is an important step in strengthening its ability to acquire and deliver exciting mainstream mobile content to U.S. consumers. At the moment, Jump Games already has several exclusive licenses, those are from Manchester United, Honest Entertainment (for Fido Dido) and Virgin Comics. Jump Games that has already published and developed premium mobile content, feels that its North American team will be an important force in building key relationships with North America’s leading media and entertainment companies.
Rajesh Sawhney, President of Reliance Big Entertainment, said, “We are keen on building a global enterprise that leverages the top entertainment content across the globe. Our recent deals in the entertainment space convey our focus and commitment towards building global entertainment equity. With Jump Games setting up operations in the US, we will be concentrating on the mobile space aggressively. To ensure the future of our success, our partnerships and alliances with America’s biggest firms will be critical. The idea is to expand the mobile entertainment umbrella for Jump in the mobile space, via strong and sustained growth - both organic as well as inorganic”.
The company is also expected to clinch a deal with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen to set up a new studio that would split Spielberg and Geffen from Paramount Pictures, sources familiar with the deal have told reporter.
