Bluetooth watches could be all the rage in the future, and RIM has “confirmed” that they’re working on a Bluetooth watch, alongside a new Bluetooth headset codenamed Alpha 1. While there’s no concrete news of its visibility, the smart watch might come with features like 3.5 mm connectivity, Twitter and/or Facebook updates, caller ID and SMS messages support.
The image floating around today of this thing isn’t real — it’s just a Sony Ericsson MBW-100 with a swapped logo. As it is said to be more advanced than the models Sony Ericsson has put forth so far. It remains to be seen what this magical wrist accessory will look like, assuming it’s real and coming to retail. As you might expect, there is no information about pricing or availability at this stage.
