Cellphonesail leaked A few photos of a new 5MP Sony Ericsson Cybershot. It is basically a C902 but with the slightly updated software (i.e. Java Platform 8.4 like on C905). Other than sporting a 5 megapixel resolution, the camera also features auto focus and smile shutter. It has a xenon flash too.
There’s also no GPS, and no 3G functionality. In a return to the convenience seen in K850i, there’s a button for you to toggle between stills, videos, and a gallery of your shots. The mid-range phone is expected to have the following specs:
- 5 megapixel Camera with Xenon Flash, Auto Focus, and Smile Shutter
- No front camera for video calling
- Switch button between Still & Video as well as a button to access gallery of images you just taken
- No GPS
- EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA (at least)
- Sony Ericsson’s Java Platform 8.4
We’re guessing Sony Ericsson will make things official about Kate in October along with a few other mid/high-end products. It’ll probably be available late this year. Price-wise, we’re looking at a phone that’s likely to end at about 300 Euro.
