Devices with full-faced touch screen displays and digicam-beating camera spec have been the trend for the near future handsets. Asus is rumoured to work on a mobile which will resemble Samsung’s Omnia phone. It’s going to be a touchscreen phone with a large screen. A news sleek looking Asus WM Phone with a large screen (WQVGA or WVGA) and front camera suggesting 3G has been spotted. The Asus handset will also most probably have  a 5-megapixel camera like the OMNIA,  and 3G and WiFi connections.  It also has a round D-Pad which may be preferred over Omnia’s square optical one.
Aside from the ones mentioned, the handset’s specs remain a mystery; that is, if indeed it does exist.  We’re expecting Windows Mobile 6.1 and dare I say GPS? Asus should stick to its guns and try to make the handset affordable for the masses, or at least be priced competitively compared to other similar phones.
