Samsung Telecommunications India today launched the F480 in the Indian market. The all-touchscreen phone carries on the good work the Koreans are doing on the User Interface front. The F480 packs a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, Wide Dynamic Range, face detection, LED flash and video recording so that photography lovers can take high-quality pictures. The F480, like the Omnia i900, has a widget bar on the home screen, from where you can pick and choose multiple widgets to adorn the screen. The task is made easier by allowing you to simply drag and drop icons on its 2.8 inch touchscreen.
The Samsung TouchWhiz is compatible with GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA (7.2mbps) networks and functions on GSM 900/1800/1900, and WCDMA 2100 bands. The phone is equipped with 240MB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 8GB via the microSD memory card slot. The other features 3G, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music player (supporting MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, MIDI, RA and MMF), Video player, FM radio with RDS, HTML browser, email, Instant Messaging, SMS, MMS and video messaging, document viewer, USB 2.0, handsfree, scheduler, clock, alarms, calculator, currency converter and so on. The F480 is up for grabs for Rs 20,990.
