Samsung has just launched its AnyCall Haptic 2 touch screen phone that features updated specifications over its predecessor. The quick follow-up to the March original is distinguished by its customization: users can personalize the vibrate mode and have access to more than three times the number of widgets on the home screen for quick access to weather and other info.
What is surprising is the screen size, which is a massive 3.2in (only a bit smaller than the iPhone), which even features a user-definable haptic feedback system (as you might have guessed from the name.) It features a 5MP camera, which is becoming the norm on all new Samsung phones, as well as an option to add up to 50 widget icons to the home screen. Samsung has also beefed up the included widgets from the original 15 to a cool 50, and added user defined vibration tones. Other features of the touch phone are similar to the first-run device but are still considered high end today, including mobile banking as well as an internal DMB tuner to pick up over-the-air digital TV in Korea. The Haptic 2 will probably arrive in US via AT&T, but those in Korea can pick up the 4GB and 16GB models for $605 and $691, respectively. A mere $80 difference for a four-fold increase in memory?
