If you have the Samsung Jack (aka Samsung i616) from Rogers head on over to Samsung Electronics CANADA and get the Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade. Canada’s Samsung BlackJack, called Samsung Jack by Rogers, can now be updated to Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. The enhancements that Windows Mobile 6.1 brings to the Jack include a redesigned interface, threaded SMS, a new Internet Explorer that supports page zooming, headset auto-pairing and more.
Be sure to read all of in instructions first, and for the love of all that is holy, back up your information first. Then head on over to the download site and get your well-deserved upgrade. Windows Mobile 6.1 includes new features such as:
- Instant messaging-like texting
- Improved Internet browsing
- Simpler e-mail and Bluetooth setup
- New Home screen interface
- New Getting Started Center
- Security enhancements
- Easier Wi-Fi connection
- More personal choice
