Samsung LTE USB Modem Spotted at the FCC

The first USB modem fully compatible with the new Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G standard will be launched soon. The Korean company has already developed  LTE USB modem and the FCC is currently reviewing it. Codenamed Samsung GT-B3710, the device should provide download speeds of even 150 Mbit, while the upload should be around 50 Mbit. Primary market for new 4G modem will be Norway and Sweden, where the mass use of 4G standards should begin in 2010. year.

Samsung LTE 4G USB Modem compares favorably to the 42Mbps and 12Mbps download and upload rates offered even by upcoming HSPA+ 3G networks.The two firms expect the bandwidth enough to drive mobile TV, multiplayer gaming and bandwidth-intensive work in the field. Sadly, exact date and price are currently unknown.
