Samsung announced the Samsung WiFi version of the Star, which is called the Samsung S5230W Star. The “Star with Wi-Fi” will hit the markets in Africa and Asia as well but under a slightly different model number – the Samsung S5233W – nevertheless it’s still the same Star. Samsung makes it even more attractive for the touchscreen lover by adding WiFi to the candybar
In case you might not remember what the Star includes, we should mention a 3.0-inch touchscreen display that boasts a WQVGA resolution and support for 262K colors, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, haptic feed-back, Bluetooth, FM Radio with RDS, MP3 Player, full HTML browser, RSS Reader, samsung’s TouchWiz UI and support for widgets. In addition, users will also enjoy Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity with the new Samsung S5230W Star. Samsung have already sold the original Star in more than 5M units, so this is an attempt to boost the sales even further.
The Samsung Star WiFi will be available in black, silver, pink and white colors. The device is expected to retail at around 150 euros.

Yes, great phone, adding WiFi to their Star is a real master move from Samsung. And 5 millions have been sold by August but Samsung think they will reach 10 Million sold units by November. Meaning that the Star is their best sold phone ever.
