Samsung’s SGH-a837 has been given authorization by the FCC, and it appears to be aimed towards AT&T’s 3G network. The Samsung SGH-a837 seems to be ruggedized, with a very industrial design and locking battery compartment. Sadly, it is not waterproof, dustproof, or even resistant to water or dust as the draft of the user manual included in the FCC filing. The A837 has at least dual-band GSM/EDGE 850/1900 radios, and also supports WCDMA 3G. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, a slot for a microSD card and a very large speakerphone seen on the front of the flip. The a837 also has Bluetooth 2.0 with support for A2DP stereo Bluetooth and push-to-talk capability as well as support for AT&T’s Music services. Neither Samsung nor AT&T have officially announced the SGH-a837, but you can check out the FCC documents here.
