According to TmoNews, T-Mobile is going to launch in the America the Samsung T919, aka Tocco/Roxy. The Samsung Tocco means Touch in Italian. The Samsung T919 Tocco is a modified version of Samsung’s F480/TouchWiz F488. Samsung feature-rich touchscreen will be a fantastic grab for any T-Mobile users as long as they can do without a smart OS. Besides the great looking case, which has a glossy black front and brushed aluminum back, this phone really packs in the features. The screen reportedly is very responsive and it provides vibrating feedback for each screen tap and the 5MP camera certainly grabs our attention. This phone will supposedly support the 1700 MHz WCDMA band. WiFi may also be included, but that’s not known for sure yet.
Samsung Tocco will bring users the following features: a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, 262K colors and haptic feedback, a new TouchWiz User Interface with widget support, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, face detection, flash and video recording, GSM and HSDPA connectivity, Music and Video players, FM radio with RDS, document viewer, full HTML browser, email, Instant Messaging and 232MB of internal memory (expandable up to 8GB). However, the American version will lose its front camera. A release date for the Tocco has not been unveiled, but the touchscreen handset might be on sale this fall, at about the same time with the first-ever Android-powered device, which is said to be also released by T-Mobile.
