Samsung to Launch Mobile Apps Store

 At the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona Samsung informed its plans to launch the Samsung Mobile Applications online store. The store, which will initially be for customers in the U.K., will launch with 1,100 applications for Samsung S60 and Windows Mobile devices.

Phil Northam, Global Marketing Manager at Samsung Mobile Innovator explained “All Samsung Mobile Innovator members are automatically setup with a Samsung Mobile Applications account, there is no need for them to register separately so this represents a fantastic opportunity for them to get their applications to a large Samsung-user audience very quickly”.

Samsung to Launch Mobile Apps Store

It clearly tells us that For developers associated with marketing or hosting software The online store will not have any initial or ongoing costs. Freeware is allowed to be distributed at no cost to the developer. In addition Samsung tells it plans to support other platforms over time. Every samsung Mobile Innovator member  can start uploading his apps right away, via the Mobile Applications website.
