The MP3 player war might be over, but Sony can still pick up a few (profitable) crumbs of comfort with some tasty iPod add-ons, including the Sony ICF-CD3iP. Sony has created a somewhat original looking and refreshing third-generation iPod/iPhone clock radio dock, the ICF-CD3iP, according to an apparent leak by a Sony Insider. The dock has a unique circular design that holds a clock, AM/FM radio and a CD player, with simple controls in front for playback. Front buttons make navigating through your device easily, and you can choose to use MP3 tunes from your iPod/iPhone to nudge you out of bed after a hard night of partying. Music can be played using any of the sources and includes MP3 CDs and CD-R/RW audio discs. That’s not it though,if you’re having trouble getting out of bed and just so happen to pick one of these up you can choose from the convential buzzer to wake you up OR the CD player, radio or connected iPod. The sound probably isn’t the best in the world and the build doesn’t exactly scream ‘quality’, but with a list price of around £45 currently slated. Each purchase will come with a remote control as the Sony ICF-CD3iP prepares itself for an October release.
