Infosyncworld give rating 84/100 for Sony Ericsson M600i Smartphone and also give comments “Quite possibly the ideal size for a business phone, the Sony Ericsson M600i is but a hair’s width from scoring full marks in the messaging, productivity and browsing departments, hampered only by the smaller-than-the-competition sizes of its otherwise excellent touch screen and thumbboard. It also delivers a solid impression in every other department, with the near-sole disappointment being its lack of a bundled USB cable and USB charging support. Add good battery life and nice touches such as a scroll wheel, stereo Bluetooth audio and a clever, agenda-style standby screen, and what emerges is a winning recipe.”
Pocketlint give 6/10 rating for Sony Ericsson M600i Smartphone and comments “While as a first stab the M600i is passable, up against the competition it just doesn’t really stand up and given the choice of either this, the new BlackBerry Pearl or the Treo 750v this would be left of the table last.
The bright clear touchscreen is nice, but the M600i is let down by a fiddly interface and the fiddly to use keys don’t help the matter either.
Disappointing. ”

MobileBurn give Comments “Due to its bugs and various rough edges I can not, in good conscience, give it a top rating, but I can feel comfortable in recommending it to people that want full PDA functionality in a normally sized phone. As long as they realize that this is still very much a PDA in that it requires use of a stylus more often than one might hope.”
OSnews give rating 7.5/10 for Sony Ericsson M600i Smartphone and said “I think Sony Ericsson went a bit too cheap on the M600i. Instead of designing a device that has logical features for the business market it was after, they designed it with the mindset of “creating a cheap P990″. They removed everything they could remove and only left the 3G antenna and Qwerty keyboard in it as a honeypot to potential buyers. But this doesn’t mean that the M600i is a bad phone though. It is actually a very nice, sweet-looking PDA & smartphone. For the low pricepoint and overall feature-set I think that in fact is a great phone. If you are on a low budget and you require a good business phone, you should consider it. Or, you can consider the Nokia E61 which is even cheaper and with more features in it instead (sans A2DP & touchscreen).”
The Sony Ericsson M600i will be available throughout Europe in July 2006, this smartphone price is about €500.
