Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 heading to AT&T?

A recent rumor at Engadget is leading us to believe that AT&T will pick up the North American version of the device upon it’s release and will offer 3G data support in the U.S. According to the specs page of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, the American version of the XPERIA X10 packs 3G bands that fit with AT&T and not T-Mobile.

Xperia X10’s product page, the device supports the following radio bands:
Networks
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS/HSPA 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100

Another interesting tidbit is that the X10 will have turn-by-turn navigation courtesy of Wisepilot. If AT&T does officially carry the XPERIA X10, it’ll definitely need to be refined and made more affordable considering the rather lukewarm first impression that the XPERIA X10 received and the exorbitant price it’s rumored to be. Now we’ll just have to wait until AT&T or Sony Ericsson make an official announcement.
