Sony has announced a couple of new Sony e-book readers, namely the PRS-300 and PRS-600. Available colors will include silver, red and black, and like the current range, there is no Wi-Fi connection or built-in backlighting.
The PRS-300 has a non-touchscreen 5-inch display. Navigation is handled with good old fashioned buttons. It has around 440 MB of storage — enough for quite a few books — and it can go through up to 7,500 pages on a single battery charge.
The PRS-600 is the better model, equipped with a 6″ touchscreen display along with audio output and an SD/MS memory card slot. You also get 380MB of storage space

Pricing or release dates are unknown. The current 6-inch PRS-505 does not have a touchscreen but can play back music, and is priced at $280. The PRS-700 adds a 6-inch touchscreen and carries a $350 price tag
