Sprint and the National Football League announced the launch of NFL Mobile Live. NFL Mobile Live is offered free to Sprint customers with a data plan. It features live audio broadcast of all NFL regular season games, live audio / video stream of eight NFL Network games (beginning in November 2008,) exclusive team content and video highlights. With this deal shows that sprint has tried to show as biggest wireless telecommunications network, even while it continues to suffer through each quarter and faces bleak options surrounding its iDEN network.
For most games, the free application will feature pre-game and post-game reports. The application can also be customized so that each time a user pulls up NFL Mobile Live it will provide immediate access to the latest information for their favorite teams. Fantasy football players can monitor the performance of each player on their squad in real time while video highlights will be available for some players on the main page. NFL Mobile Live, which will include non-game programming such as training-camp reports, NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay and NFL Playbook, is exclusive to Sprint. NFL Mobile Live is included free as part of Sprint’s Simply Everything flat-rate package–subscribers may also add Data Packs starting at $15 per month.
