Today Sprint Nextel announced the availability of its new Motorola i890 push-to-talk device.This clamshell phone supports push-to-talk services such as Group Connect, Direct Talk and Direct Send. With a retail price of $129.99 after new contract and rebates, the phone is priced in-line with other high-end feature phones. It retails for $329.99 without contract, $70 less than the top-tier Motorola i9.
The Motorola i890 sports a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, a mp3 music player, external haptic-feedback media keys, and stereo Bluetooth connectivity. At the press of a button, the i890 is capable of switching from a push-to-talk conversation to an interconnect voice call.
