Sprint has quietly introduced the Mac-friendly U301 3G/4G WiMAX modem which will be the first to bring 4G mobile internet to Snow Leopard users.The U301 is a direct if minor update to the U300 and comes in a smaller black shell . The Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U300, manufactured by Franklin Wireless. Previously known as Franklin CMU-300 USB modem, made by C-motech. It is the first device that provides access the EVDO and WiMAX networks and is also compatible with HSDPA.
Set to go on sale in Sprint stores on December 21st, the modem will cost $149.99 after a $50 rebate, and be subject to a new two-year data agreement with the carrier.
